Crail Speed In Uk Poll

Hi guys, i`m willing to know your opinions about the crail speed, because in my opinion the trucks are the best in the market, and here in Britain they are very expensive.

So my question in the poll is:

Should I start import some Crail speed truck or not???

I think you would have a good market here, especially if you can convince shops about the trucks - although they are good, they are expensive sooo I dunno.

I'd like a pair.
So that just leaves 498 to off-load

But they're easily available online from Germany & elsewhere in Europe without being toooo expensive (or are we Brits just accustomed to crazy prices?). So, with more people importing their own stuff, you're not necessarily onto a guaranteed winner.

It's a small niche within a minority pastime. With a price-conscious consumer group.

But if you've got a silver pair going cheap...

About the prices....

Plain Silver trucks : Around 48 GBP
Coloured Trucks: Around 55 GBP

Thats only an estimate i`ve done so far.....Let`s hope a good anwer from Crail TEAM!

Take a look at what US retailers are selling Crails for. Add shipping costs and it's still cheaper for a UK skater to order from the US.

I'm not feeling the Crail vibe. For speed I'd rather have Randals, and for carving I've got Holeys, both of which are cheaper than your prices. If I really wanted Crails, I'd order them from Europe and they wouldn't be much more expensive.

You'd probably have a tough time offloading 500 pairs of Crails. Most UK longboarders are too narrow-minded to try something different from what Lush force feeds them.

Yes thats a good point...but buying a deck from sector 9, or other good ones...are not much more expensive then the decks from Lush.

I still think that Crail is the best option, regarding the kingpin which is prperly done, not like randals....which are really rubish....they don`t line up, and the finish is really bad too, the crail are much nicer and better finished!!!

Because my Randals have 8mm axles and faced hangers, that's why.

ah right, you just said 'rather have randals' - you didnt mention the alterations! if i had nicely modded r2s then id agree

reasons i want crails for downhill:
1. i dont like 35 degree geometry. randal dhs just feel too unresponsive for my liking. if i could choose a geometry for speedboarding it would be between 35 and 50, but closer to 50 to suit my style. so crails 45 degree sounds about perfect
2. more accurate than randals (ignoring any modifications)

and dont get me wrong, im with you on the holeys for carving thing

I checked my Randals when I bought them, no faults in the drilling. Crail have more problems that I've heard of with materials than Randal (cracked baseplates, etc)

You also have to consider that the latest Randals have new molds with much better QC, I'd say the king is back.
