all those trucks that have "randal ish" geometry work fine without wedge. Thats kinda the point of that design- you dont need to wedge em!

People always say that and I never understood the reasoning behind it. When did Randal Fuller or anyone else claim that their trucks do not require angled risers? Guys ride Splitfires on 50-degree Randal plates on the front of their slalom boards, and usually wedge between 10 and 20 degrees. They'll tell you that it makes a difference. It's the same principle as with conventional trucks: wedge for more steer, dewedge for less.

OP: Your trucks will definitely turn more if you wedge them. My friend rocks 180 hangers on DH baseplates on his Big Red X. Using rail wedges, he added a bunch of wedge to the front and took a bit out of the back. It tracks great; all the steering comes from the front.

I dont think a wedged randal style truck turns more, it just turns faster. Id rather go skate than debate.
I know what works for me.

well they don't need to be wedged as apposed to a regular indy type truck.

when you wedge a indy or tracker type truck it gains randal like geometry.

crails have a 45 degree angle and when u wedge them they just get closer to randal angles.

i think 50 degrees is as far as you go. wedged randals suck!

Im with sofa on this one. Splitfires are a great example, Ive seem the from -15 to +20 wedging and there is no way you can say that doesnt make a difference. Ive ridden my 180's with both positive and negitive wedging and they feel great.

    Thanks guys!

I'll wedge the front truck a little more and see how it rides.
