    Default Carving Trucks

Well I ordered my Loaded Vanguard and its en route. Its got Randal R2 180mm's on it. So im going to be using it for some hard carving. What mods can I do to the trucks to make them better for my needs?

I agree fully with gr8day on #1 and #2. With #3... If by "hard carving" you mean faster or twitchier carving, I'd actually consider switching to R-150 hangars but if you mean "fast" carving then stay with the 180s and maybe do that flipping the hangar thing. Before I sold my Vanguard it was set up with Gummies on 150s and I miss it.

I finally got to test Holeys a short while and though they're smooth, they didn't have a huge 'wow' factor I was expecting. The machining and quality is immediately and obviously far superior, and the recessed bushing for the hourglass red stock bushing is a nice touch. Though when I tried to replace with white Khiros the hangar touches the baseplate... I'll keep testing them though and try some different bushings if I can find alternates that work. The stocks just felt a bit stiff at my 165 lbs.

Bushing is always a preference thing, mine is two white barrel Khiros, top and bottom with flat washer on top at least, for front. Then either red bottom, blue top or blue bottom and top in the rear truck.
