Default Revenge Trucks on a Super Long Board

I picked up a pair of Revenge Trucks at the Buckeye this weekend from the swag pile when it was my turn to step up (Kenny, thanks for the awesome swag). I am planning on trying them out on a 58" Wicked Wonder Longboard (I need the Randals that are on there now for another board).

Anyone out there running Revenge on a super long board now? I know they work well with boards in the 40" ranges but not sure about all that turn on a board that size.....

    Any ideas?

Answer #1: No... Revenges will *explode* if you put them on a longer board!!! DON'T DO IT for the SAKE OF THE CHILDREN!!! Just ship them to me for proper disposal.

Answer #2: Yes, they will be awesome.

Answer #3: You have both the board and the trucks, why don't you just try it.

California has too many trucks as it is ...these need to stay in North Carolina...but thanks for the offer of sparing me the horror of riding them....I have tried this same tactic on pink gumballs, sick slalom and downhill decks, and other equipment that people have that I want but it has not worked yet...!

I am going to set them up on the board...just curious to see what others have done with them on a board that big....every pic or post I have seen about them have been on smaller boards.

Thumbs up Re: Revenge Trucks on a Super Long Board

A member of the Longboard Consortium slapped a pair of the Revenge Alpha2's on a Jam Board Tuna, which is a 60" deck. The board had originally been built OEM with some of the new Gullies that perform poorly and then grenade... so there was justification to experiment, I guess.

Anyway, the Revenges are awesome on the 60! It's turny, surfy, fun and a joy to lean over onto the stops. Everyone that's managed to get time on the Tuna loves the "Revenge Upgrade". Slap 'em on something long, MK!

I agree with EB on this one. Those trucks a meant to be on big boards. You'll love it.

I also have them on a 60" Tuna, only mine are not the Alpha2's. Those trucks with Avilas kick a#$ on that board. I had Gullwings and then Randalls on it before and the Revenges make for a much better ride.

Ok..I did it. Hooked up the 58" Wicked Wonder (www.wickedskateboards.com) with the newly acquired Revenge trucks and set it up with some trusty green gumbals in 78a and went out in the neighborhood for a little test night patrol.

At first the turnyness of the trucks sketched me a bit especially in the back (got to remember lately all I have skating is slalom with a "dead" rear end) but once I got use to it I began to push it a big more. The hill I did my testing is close to a 1/2 mile run with a decent but not over aggresive grade. It winds down through a neighborhood and is my favorite carving hill near my house (2 blocks over). The pavement is very good and there is pretty strong crown to it that you can carve off of and pump over it. With each run I got more comfortable with the trucks. It was amazing how more agile that big board came with these bad boys. I could turn it and move in much tighter situations that with the Randal 180's that were on there (still my preference for more speed). The Revenge trucks made this board more lively and surfy and it was great. Once I got more confident I was totally stoked to set the board completely on either a hard toe side or heel side rail. The wheelbite stops were awesome and it made the board capable of turning completely around in the road.

Thanks for the advise guys...you were right...these trucks were made for a big board. It has brought this board back up in my quiver as fun ride when I am not trying to fly down a hill.
