Default Gullwing Mission 1 trucks- replacing kingpin?

I cracked the kingpin in my front Mission 1 today. It seems like the kingpin can't be removed. Is this true, or can I get it out and replace it. It's not a hex head bolt, so the only way to remove it would be a punch. Do I have to replace the whole baseplate?

I would suggest replacing the trucks altogether. When i upgraded to randall 180s from mission 1's i was highly impressed with the new performance of my board.

do you have a picture of the bottom of the baseplate? i've got a set of these as well but they're mounted on my mini right now. I'd be up for suggestions on replacement trucks but something tells me randalls aren't gonna cut it on my mini, this thing has a 4 or 5 foot turning radius with proper khiro bushings and i'd like to keep it that way.

You can punch it out easily with a hammer and another kingpin. then just pound a new grade 8 bolt into its place, if it spins put some JB Weld in the hole behind the bolt head and you will be good to go. I have a set that I removed the stock pins and put longer lingpins in, and Khiro bushings and I love them for cruising..

Are yours the Mission 1's? I've been trying to punch the broken pin back out on mine, and it will not budge. I'm using a small sledgehammer and a steel punch, and the thing still won't move.

um wouldn't heating it make the metal expand therefore making it more stuck?

Use a heat gun, less likely to f__ k up the bases! Works very well, the expansion rate of the aluminum is much greater than the steel KP!

I'll try heating the baseplate. I'm open to buying other trucks, but I'd still like to fix these if I can, since both trucks are otherwise fully functional. I have some borrowed Randal 180s on the deck right now, and they're fine, although a little disappointing in the pumping department. The Missions are narrower and have a tighter turn radius, in spite of being conventional.
