I rode the new prototype Fyre slalom trucks today. They f'n rip. They look like a contender for the new best slalom truck. They have a few improvements over everything else out there. After some more course testing next week I'll have something more detailed to post. For now, I'm just stoked.
Still, Bennett did eventually come to market. Chaput will too.
He's been through multiple prototype iterations at this point. This is a far cry from just resurrecting an old favorite. This is a new truck. It solves many of the problems traditional trucks have had. That includes Radikal, which is a traditional truck of the "reverse kingpin" type. I'm not saying Chris' new truck is perfect. There always has been and always will be room for improvement. But for now, my feeling is that this is the most advanced offering out there.
... or at least it will be when it comes to market, which should be ... soon.
I'd like to give more details. Chris will have to do that. For now I can say it is precise and easy to pump. It also has a great resistance/energy return system. Need I add that the bushings are really good?
Yah they are cool trucks no question. Double pivot, pretty cool ideas. Expect to buy washers and small bushings to go with this truck. Theres alot going on in em.

You saw Liquid Fyre v.2 protos. Stevie rode .v3 protos, which are an evolution, rather than a refinement of the v.2's. They are so cool that they slice bread and butter it. However, there's a rumor that Chaput is lubing them with grease derived from the baby otter carcasses he gets from GFHurley.
The v.3's are going to Dixie Cup, btw. I'm not aware of any pictures of them yet, else I'd post them.

..and the sherpas were all under 13, paid three sesame seeds and a grain of sour rice per day. One made a smartass comment, and Chaput plucked her eye out with his good hand.
Personally, I can't support a manufacturer like that.

If you were a hockey stick and found a puck, you would SLAP it.
If you had just buried a treasure chest, you would MAP it.
If you pronounced my name the way I do, you'd say CHAP it.
Here are a few brain teasers for those who want to visualize the truck:
Currently, my front truck alone has three kingpins, twelve bushings, and two special bearings, neither of which are between the bushings. You can swap hangers without loosening the locknut that holds the bushings onto the hanger, so the "preload" doesn't change. You can ride my trucks without a top bushing, cup washer or locknut. One critical pin goes sideways through the baseplate. You don't have to remove any kingpins to change bushings. You can use virtually ANY bushings. You'll never need to wedge your plates. You turn one locknut, and no matter how much you tighten your trucks, the intended angle never changes.
Everything on the truck can be easily adjusted with a single standard skate key. It is simple and easy to use, and requires no learning curve. It's the most precise truck that I've ever ridden, the easiest to turn, and a tweaker's dream. It feels as if your always pumping downhill. The best selection of big bouncy bushings just comes with the territory.
Now why would I want to spoil all the fun and post a picture or a rendering?
p.s. The Fyre 1 is obsolete. The Fyre 2 work great, but a recent major feature essentially obsolesced them too. The Fyre 3 are fully functional machined prototypes, and can be raced (Got Hill, Billies?). The Fyre 4 will be an expensive short run machined version that will serve mostly to get the trucks out there while we ramp up for production. The Fyre 5 trucks will be the highly affordabe production truck that will be every bit as precise as the machined versions, but will take longer for a release date. These will be less than half of the cost of Radikals and GOGs and PVDs, and even less than Splitfires.

(sliding) its all for the fun, we got that. We all gotta get better, thats true too =) faster, harder, narlyer (sp?) cos if you sit back and reckon you've advanced all ya want to you may as well die.

Downhillers and longboarders will have to wait a bit longer for Liquid Trucks, as the slalom crowd has a more immediate need for the affordable race-worthy Fyre Trucks.
