New to the game, have a Truck question

I picked up a S9 board last week and i've been having some trouble with wheel bite and the board being too loose with the stock setup.

Its got Gullwing M1 trucks, I read that they're not that bad. But how much of a benefit would I have if I just purchased new trucks instead of just replacing the bushings on the current trucks.

If its better to just upgrade the trucks which would be my best choice? I wont be bombing any major hills and nothing else except for just cruising.

Usually I'd recommend you went and bought some Randals.
but If you're just cruising then you probably don't need them.
so.

Harder bushings. reduces turn potential.
Higher risers. gives wheels more room to move.
angled risers. As above. Plus they need to move less to achieve the same turn.

of these options I'd recommend angles and slightly harder bushings.
this option helps to keep you low. but will be less speed capable.

I agree w/ steve, I'd say just put some risers on your board and it'll be fine. khiro angled risers are good and as for bushings I'd go w/ khiro blues (85a) or indy bushings.

M1's are just fine, but if you got some of those rubber barrel bushings that came standard with the last S9 board I saw you're going to want to go for some Tracker hourglass bushings or something more like that.

I have bones hardcore bushings on mine and it makes all the worlds difference in turning capability, I just roade one of my friends boards who still hasn't replaced the bushings and it feels dead compared to mine.

That being said what board do you have this could help us in telling you weather to just replace the bushings or buy new trucks.

dunno but i kinda like the bottom bushings from m1s i know they are low rebound but sometimes thats a good thing i lathed mine into stims and they work great with randals.
i dont know why your getting wheel bite though i have used m1s since last year and they work great i find the feeling better than an indy to me but i like tracker rtx/s better. my m1s are on a s9 super cruiser with 1/4 " risers and about 7 deg pos wedge and same in back with 5 deg pos wedge. no wheelbite with 72mm powerballs and white khiros in fron blue in back all inserts

I'm a big guy so i tend to lean left or right until it hits the wheels. So if I understand what you guys are saying is that I'll be fine with these trucks all I need to get better bushings?
