Default Randals and Bushings:Will new bushings really give a better carve?

Hey I have a S9 Bomb Hills board with randal 180s and I read in some posts that the stock bushings on randals are not very good. My board isn't very flexy but it still carves pretty good, would getting new bushings improve that carving by a lot? If so, what bushings would be good?

    yes.

bushing selection depends on your weight. im like 165 i think, and radikal blues, moog yellows, and black randals feel good for carving

for lots of turning this is what i do-

    back-
    randal black barrel on top
    yellow moog barrel bottom

    front-
moog yellow on top of a lathed blue rad
    randal black barrrel on bottom

the moog is a little shorter than the randal, so just put another flat washer under it.

Stock bushings on Randals should befine. The guys at Loaded and MHM all recommend sticking with
    stock bushings on Randals.

Especially since Randal bushings are the only ones that fit Randals properly without shimming.

Though to be fair, I haven't done a lot of experimentation and just put trust in those who have...if a guy who
sells bushings for a living thinks you will be happy without new bushings....

Ive got a pintail set up with RII 150s and a Big Red X set up with flipped RII 180s my favorite bushings for both are Khiro Blues. Just enough stability and PLENTY of carve. Then again i like the stock yellow Randal bushings for some applications. I found its all down to personal preference. I ended up get a Khiro big bad bushing kit and just tooled around with it till i found what worked best. Good luck!
