    Default Tracker RTS/X for sliding

Hey guys, here's the situation, currently i am in need of trucks for a slide deck, but in the near future I am planning to learn some recreational slalom. I wanna buy some trucks now to use that 15$ paypal rebate, I was wondering if i get the trackers now, set them up with stiff bushings, and mount em on my slide deck, would i damage them by sliding or anything?

    What size are they?
    Anyways, you won't damage them.

your biggest issue will be width, second issue will be bending the axles.. but if you use smallish hard slide wheels, shouldnt be a big issue. third thing would be that the board will behave differently forwards & backwards.
basically, it'll be fine (though not ideal)

Wait, so is it possible to damage trucks by sliding? I have just ordered some racetrackers and I was planning to mount them on my slalom deck. I suppose if I slid on them, it would be an occasional stop rather then heavy sliding. I was going to put my gravity street g's on, which are my spare set (flashies being the first). boxcutter, what wheels are you going with?

I had no idea if sliding em would damage em, i was just checking, no cause for alarm.

in regards to hangar length i was planning on getting 129mm ones on mile high.

in regards to wheels for sliding i have some sergio sliders for sliding.

I use my tracker rtx/s 129 for stand up slides regularly... it shouldn't be a problem...

keep em tight and don't run anything over 76mm and your chances of bending an axle are pretty slim I'd say.

aren't rt/x just trackers version of indy's with the straight pivot end?
if anything it would be a small rake angle or ride height difference.
I bent an rt/x on my slalom board using a 9" wide deck and 68mm avalons. Im 80kg so I'm not a real heavy weight. It's not such an issue unless you bend em so bad the wheel clearly won't touch the ground. If your a slider your gonna trash your wheels anyway. Why stress.

So, how did you bend your rt/x? And where? The hanger bent? My slalom set up is going to be pretty much the same so I'm very curious.

You're not going to mangle the trucks unless you hit a big ol' crack and/or ride with giganormos wheels.

The axles appear to be the same stock on the Racetracks. Remember that the 149 RT-X's use the Orion SP1 hangers, which are street trucks. The 129-149 RT-S's use Dart hangers, which are also street trucks. I wouldn't worry about the axles.

Kenny.. you're gonna slide with 106mm racetracks? 106's on that Pool36? Uhh... I'd say you'd be better off putting those blank indy clones on your slide deck for now and use the trackers for cruising. On that gravity, these would be way. too. narrow.

Or, just grab some street trucks off of craigslist. Problem solved.
