Re: little known fact about grizzlys
aren't the jimz's good enough? :P
I hate signatures, so i turned them off

Re: little known fact about grizzlys
the jimz's have awesome, uniform resistance in a lean - just would like a harder duro.
in crails they feel stiffer but restrict the max lean because the bushing is just so big.

Re: little known fact about grizzlys
actually the Rads fit but not perfect. I have lathed rads in the JimZ bottum shape and they fit snug.

I tried that yesterday; only on the 55* position on the 45* you will have to lathe them or mill a groove on the hanger, but the radicals are not tall enough, I like to use Holey bushings they have an excellent rebound with the Grizzlys. The only problem with Holeys is that you have to used them on the 45* position first till they break in, witch makes the hour glass bushing shorter (hence they compress a little) then you can flip them to 55*.
I used that combination on three boards and Loving it 8)
Keith Hollien from Radical told me that there coming out with Radical bushings to work with other trucks, Barrels and such, look for them in the near future or email Him for an update. I spoke with Him during the Sizzler.

Re: little known fact about grizzlys
I'm using a pair of khiro red bottoms on each of my grizzlys, with the hangers flipped, and one flat washer per bushing. for me, this combo is working really well. it's plenty turny, stable, predictable, cush, etc.
i'm running these on a 46" deck w 77mm strikers and was telling a friend the other day that it's like a 4x4 caddy which turns and handles like a porsche. granted, I'm just carving neighborhood hills and streets at low to medium speeds, but it's great.
is it your use of these trucks, as in - much faster runs or something, that's driving the need for different and more custom bushings, is it just personal preference, or some of both? just curious...
mind chiming in and telling me what kind of skating you're doing with your grizzlys, and what your height/weight is?
this is interesting stuff. thanks.

Re: little known fact about grizzlys
The red barrels feel too stiff, or dead might be the right word for me, as bottoms.
The harder Khiro stuff feels kind of dead to me.
The same duro Rad are stiff but with more life to them.
Rads feel like wheel urethane, the Khiro material feels not like wheel urethane, the Rads have more boing factor.
Khiro stuff feels great in Orange 78-79 and Blue 85. The White 73 feels like it should be bumped up 1 or 2 duro harder.
Tracker Hourglass have worked really well in lots of stuff I've tried.
I'm using Blue Barrel Khiro bottoms and Red Khiro Insert tops with the Grizzly's in the flipped position with my Highland 42 and it is good for garage bombing / carving.
Motion Bigfish is set up with Grizzly's in the regular 55 position and I'm using Tracker Hourglass bottom and lathed Rad Clear Barrel on top in the front truck and a Tracker Hourglass bottom with a Khiro Blue Bitch Bottom in the top in the back truck.
I'm at 5'10' and 175 pounds right now (fatter than usual).
The Bigfish is now the official best carving longboard in the world set up that way !!!! 8)

Re: little known fact about grizzlys
currently running green rads on bottom and green stims on top on my grizzlys in the 45 position on my caften. i'm around 190. good turning, good stability. I like to push into my carves a bit - the jimz's fall into a lean a bit too easily for me.
now i just need to tighten up the seat on the pivot bushing and i should be set - there's quite a bit of play in it.

I do Hood carving on my EW Supercharger both hanger 55* red holey bushings ,
Avenger both flip 45* blue Holey on back red Holeys on front garage 18 to 20 mph and high speed carving to about 30mph.
We used old&broken's Highland and put yellow kiro barrels on bottom and red khiro barrels on top both hangers ar 45* and I was doing downhill at about 50 mph on Big View Hill. I'm 6'3' 215lbs.
I also have the Grizzlys on my custom Highland 46 at 45* back with red Holey Bushing and 55* front with red Holey bushings. I'm ordering more blue Holey bushing to use on the rear trucks.

Re: little known fact about grizzlys
Randal pivot cups fit much better than what I think are the Tracker cups they ship with.

Re: little known fact about grizzlys
They come with Khiro cups stock. The Randal cups fit way nicer.
