Here's a few shots of how I've installed pivot cups in my Pogo's with no problems....
You'll want to make sure everything is lined up before bringing the C clamp to the game...
I've found that centering the C clamp on the actual pivot cup totally helps DRIVE the pivot cup in straight. The cloth is there to "protect" the nose of the Pogo, plus it adds "area" to the base of the C clamp.
And go slowly with turning the handle....it allows you to stop in case the cup goes crooked....
For those cups that "done went crooked like the good ol' Mississippi"- I've taken some pliers and pulled "up" on the edge of the pivot cup which is lower...it'll make sense IF you have to do it....I'm 3 for 4....That's 3 that went in straight - one that went crooked (EDIT: The 4th cup is straight - I was just trying to point out that this "one" didn't go in straight initially, and after using the plier technique, I got it to go in straight)....
I'd like to see how others got theirs in....
Oh - as far as my bolt head (on solid decks like the Bozi), I've routed out a "notch" about 2 plies deep for the part of the bolt head which extends above the routered out base .It sits in flush, flat, and perfect.......I find that method better than shaving the bolt head down....(And it doesn't protrude through the other side of the deck....But I guess that depends on how thick the deck is)
With the Demonseed - I've included a picture of a "quick fix" made by a Dremel to accomodate the full bolt head...
Hope this helps those who might have to do it....
