    Default Truck Reccomendations?

I'm building my own board just for cruising. This is the first time i've built my own board, and its a 48" long 11.5" wide board made of three layers of 5ply 1/4 inch thick birch, and I was wondering if anyone knew what trucks would work well?

go with randal r2's 180mm, cheap and effective. you might need wheelwells/cutouts and/or riser for an 11.5" wide board tho

Independent 215's with angled risers. Probably need some extra risers, small wheels, cutouts, or wheel wells as mentioned above. I just love the way Indy's turn, but I suppose it's all just preference. With the right bushings, they're amazing!

I have ridden a board with independent's, they were pretty wide so I would assume 215's. They are very old... Perhaps with a good bushing they ride nice but these ones wobbled at super low speeds and a friend of mine who was afraid to just jump off and run (first time skating for her) ended up falling, getting some serious concussion, had a seizure and broke a clavicle. Also, if she didnt have a helmet on, she wouldnt be around today.

I think the randall 180's would probably work, they might be a little to short but if you got side set wheels that would make up the differenec.

Yeah, im probably gonna have to cut out wheel wells or something anyways because of how wide my board is

Give 'em to me then But seriously I had them on my first board and they were awesome. They're still awesome. I even prefer them to my Holeys. They turn great and I don't get wobbles. Remember that a lot of the speed wobbles are from the rider. So your story doesn't hold up the greatest (first time rider falling). But I can't say I've had much experience with Randals. But seriously, give me your Indy's. I'll take 'em off your hands.

Just got my Grizzly's this weekend. Put em on a Vanguard and...I no longer have interest in Randals. There. I said it. Granted this is on a ridiculously small sample size, but I think anywhere
Randals would be decent, Grizzlys will be phenomenal.

Compared to my Vanguard with Randals my Vanguard with Grizzlys is like a Vanguard with Randals
to other boards...It's the Vanguard to my Vanguard--if that makes any sense.

But it might just be the lack of noise and Khiro Bushings...
