wouldn't this make the board higher in the back?
how does that work out?
Re: *NEW* Official Guide To Riding Indys For Downhill
Upsetter, U RULE. I finally don't feel like an outcast. I just started DH, but have been doing slalom for several years. My slalom rigs are all set up with Indys or Bennetts. So I've really had a hard time getting comfy on "real" DH trucks. Now I think I understand what the deal has been. THANKS! Do you know of anyone that can mod some Indys with 8mm axles?
Re: *NEW* Official Guide To Riding Indys For Downhill
I imagine you could take the scrap polyethylene chunks laying around from some home made gloves and making your own risers, it would look a little more legitimate than bushings and washers(not too say that bushings and washers wouldnt perform just as well)
Re: *NEW* Official Guide To Riding Indys For Downhill
I love how people seem not to imagine downhill with something else than Bears, maguns, Kalahani and other high tech/expensive trucks...
(I'm gonna feel like an old 23yo guys saying that but well )
Back in 2000/2001/2002 downhill was all about riding indys on a semy stiff speedcarving board and it is really stable...
No need to dewedge it or whatever like it's been done here...
You can change the bushings but indys 215 have always been VERY good trucks...
(Rode mine with McBride on a luge a few month ago and went up to 70mph... I rode my Cr2 with these same indys up to 50mph and used to do it on an every day basis when I was in Seattle and they are way enough stable...)

Re: *NEW* Official Guide To Riding Indys For Downhill
Back in the 70's I would wedge /dewedge my slalom set ups. But for my longer speed oriented set ups I never thought of needing any dewedging! Now that I think of the several skin and bone costs that the occasional wobbles afforded me, I wish I had.
