Talking newb question about loosening trucks

So i know i might sound really really retarded right now.

but i've just started longboarding my first time ever and im soooo NEW to all of this being a girl and everything...

i was wondering how to loosen up the trucks so i can carve?

You undo the central bolt a turn or so. (kingpin)

(assuming you're running normal trucks)

so i unscrew the nut that's on top ? which im assuming is the kingpin?

well, I'd put them in the normal category—(original, seismic, revenge, C11 etc. go in the odd box)
