all of the rest of my bushings are fine with that washer, it was just the 1 that slipped out from underneath it and was cut in half, I had skated 10 feet, looked at the bushing, and repeated 4 times before I went down the hill, so I don't think it was in the hanger seat wrong.
it seems to me if the washers were 1/4th or 1/8th of an inch bigger around they wouldn't have as much of a chance to pinch into the cone shaped bushings.
and again, this is just the cones, the barrels are perfect.

I hope so too. I recall reading that the Venom Bushings project would fund the development of Venom Wheels.
I got my first batch of Venoms the other day. In general I am very impressed. As previously noted by others, it seems that the amount the bushings compress is disproportionate to the apparent hardness. I like that a LOT. I'm not a fan of the sharp edged bushing cups, but then I didn't buy the bushings for the cups. I have plenty of mellower cups and flat washers that I can use. So far, I really like the bushings a lot. It's about time that there were some excellent bushings available off the shelf. Good job, Zak!

Re: Venom bushings?
got double barrels 90a on both my randals on my hellcat. at first i didnt think it was much of a difference, after riding for half an hour yesterday i realized my board pumps a LOT better. i like that. im gonna go dhing and sliding today, see how they perform.
update coming...

Venom Bushings
David just let me know that Stoked has them in stock now. They didn't get the first run. Guess the order went in too late. Can't wait to get a hold of a set. Hopefully Zak will be producing some Bennett replacements as well, seeing that he is into slalom and all.

Re: Venom bushings?
I have a 85a barrel on bottom 81a cone on top, I love it, it's super responsive but still keeps stability.

Re: Venom bushings?
Hey guys, I'm new and I am wondering what doro I should get. I have a loaded dervish flex two with paris 180s, I weigh 137 pounds and I want something stable when pushing but nice and carvy.
Thanks in advance.

Re: Venom bushings?
i havent tried the other types but the barrels are nice and carvy yet stable when needed. at your weight 85a should be good.

Re: Venom bushings?
I'm ten pound heavier than you but i ride that same setup with 90a tops 85a bottoms (double barrel) and this setup is amazing. Ridiculously carvey but still stable when tucking hills

Re: Venom bushings?
Thanks guys,
but does anyone know how the harder super carve pack would feel in compairison? Im looking for lots of rebound for another board I have.
I think I going to get the standard but I would just like to know for future refrance.

i'm about your weight, dervish flex 2, ride either gullwing chargers or bear 852's
also ride an old birch vanguard with randal180's from a few years ago , its fleeeexy
i've tried out the following venom combos on both boards w/ all of the trucks
Top / Bottom
78a barrel / 81a barrel - favorite setup , barrels make it nice and stable, softer on the top causes the trucks to pivot at a really nice place , ive taken it up to 20-25? and it feels great, I dont plan on going any faster though, flex2 dervish is sketchy at speed, lots of rebound yet really supportive
78a barrel / 93a barrel - i had to try it , feels like your trucks have a stroke,, one half of them are dead and the other is bouncing around, i dont like it
81a cone / 81a cone - really nice for quick rebound & fast turns, not great at speed though, if you just want to cruise around and keep your momentum up with pumping this is the ticket, really carvy , ive got this setup on my flexy vanguard when i just want to surf around, feels great
81a cone / 81a barrel - sacrifice a little stability for snappier turns , feels a lot like double barrels of 81a but just a little less support and sharper turns
81a barrel / 81a barrel - reliable and pretty sturdy,, you can get turning hard and really all of the bushings have a lot of rebound, its all about the speed you need to be going in order to activate them, this setup feels good but honestly I like having the softer bushings on top
81a cone / 93a barrel - little too stiff for me, on a stiffer board at a higher speed this might be nice , but for just crusing its not much fun
81a barrel / 93a barrel - same as above
93a barrel / 93a barrel - hard as a stone , havent taken it up to speed yet but they feel ridiculously stable
93a barrel / 78a barrel - had to try it, makes the board really responsive and pivot at a weird place, would be good for a slalom or something
Hope that helps

Re: Venom bushings?
With a barrel on top of my chargers the hanger bites the washer when I turn.
I would have to use a smaller washer than the circumference of the bushing so i prefer cone on top

have you tried a flipped cup washer ? or a flat washer?
My buddy had the same thing happen on his bear 852's tore into them he was riding for so long without knowing, flipped them & works fine

Thanks, that helps a bunch. Sorry to be so noob-ish and ask so many questions, I know it is really annoying. I think I'll get the standard 81a. Thanks for all the help.
