Re: Venom bushings?
I dont know much about urethane but just wondering, what does it mean when one bushing is dark cherry red and the other is neon light red?
Just asking because I tried pressing them and one feels harder than the other(havent had time to set anything up)

Re: Venom bushings?
looks like you have a 81a (orange) and a 90a (red) the color is quite similar.

Re: Venom bushings?
I dont know... I have seen both the red and orange and the orange is more flourescent or neon colored than the one on the right, but the left does look like the red ones for sure.

Re: Venom bushings?
I dont know, ive had a lot of variance with venoms
I bought two 93a Dh packs, basically all of them were off shades of each other and two of them were filled with all kinds of bubbles and sht , haven't skated them too much but they feel about the same,
the bubbles bother me though, I expect them to expand and destroy the bushing, bubbles in urethane seem like a bad thing..

Re: Venom bushings?
There's a large black particle in my 85a conical. It still rides great, though.

Re: Venom bushings?
How would an old paris bushing get into the venom factory? Either way, neither of those look like "paris bushing red" and they're both the same venom shape.
You probably just got one with more dye than the other. Does one feel significantly softer? If it's a small difference, it might just be psychological (you expecting a difference because of the color).

Re: Venom bushings?
What bushing setup would you guys recommend for carving, cruising and small amounts of downhill? I weigh about 145, and have both Gullwing Chargers and Paris 180s (w/o venoms obviously). Setup for both trucks would be appreciated. Thanks for the help.

Downhill packs don't come in 78a and 81a. So does that mean I need to buy 4 standard packs, two 78a and two 81a?
Thanks for the info

i bought downhill packs of 78 and 81, mile high skates had them , just wait for them to come back in stock
honestly you ought to just buy 4 standard packs of 78 and 81, that way you can mix&match, find out what suits you best,

Re: Venom bushings?
sterling: the bubbles are normal. Thats one of the things that venom does to get their bushings to turn much more while still remaining stable... they fill the urethane with "microbubbles." If you have some larger bubbles its just a slight defect but it should still ride well.

well some of the bushings i've got seem to be bubble free, its the inconstancy that worries me ,not so much the bubbles
thanks for the info tho

Re: Venom bushings?
none of my venoms had bubbles... even when i sanded them down i didnt see any
bubbles in bushings= less rebound and less durability

Re: Venom bushings?
Anyone DH with 85a barrels all around, or would you have to be super light and have awesome balance for this to work out?? Cause im like 125-130 and idk if i can get my hands on 90a's at the moment so i was debating this issue.
