I'm thinking that the shape is just a more 'stable' one which might not slipe as much.
Thanks for the help!
they will fit most of the cast Randal geometry trucks..or actually all of them.
Of course, they wont fit in Indys or MHS Franken Indys, but they do fit as a bottom bushing in Gullwing Mission 1s.
As far as "precisions," they don't fit Kahalanis, but they do fit everything else... nicely.

you know stims were created for a tracker (indy-style) truck right? i don't know about the new eliminators but stim shapes are incredible in indy-style trucks.

sorry. should have clarified. They don't fit on top, of course. Go great on the bottom.

Re: Venom bushings?
The middle part of stims are skinnier than JimZ's, which is the only thing that is keeping JimZ's from fitting on top in indies/trackers, so even though stims are stepped, I assume they'll still fit on top and bottom of regular pivot trucks.
All of this is speculation though, no real facts or experiences to back it up.

Re: Venom bushings?
Ok, I take it back. I assumed, by placing the bushing on the spot where it would go, that it was too fat to fit in the top bushing seat because of the axle. The fat part actually sits just underneath the axle on the top. So the answer is YES, if you put a longer kingpin, you can double up on Eliminators in Indys.

actually i highly doubt it will be a precise fit
the axle on indys sticks out and would hit the bushing.

I actually did it. It works. The fat part of the bushing is underneath the axle part sticking out

Re: Venom bushings?
What online distributors stock the Eliminators? Are there any in Europe yet? If not then US site will be ok!
Defo up for seeing how they feel...hmmm the question is what duro. Are they still using the same formula as the normal Venoms? They seem to behave like softer duros compared to the rating on the pack?

So.... Im just kinda trying to figure out something.
I looked up the mystic yellow tracker duro(75a on the list) and that seems very soft.
So this stim shape allows you to use softer duros to still get good feel/rebound?
I want to try a set of these, but now I'm very confused at which duro i should go for... hehe
I was thinking 85a...

yes that is part of the stim shape theory, compressing more of a softer duro thane provides a plusher feel than less of a harder duro while still being stable

[canned answer] depends on truck width, bushing seats, KP angle, board width, wedging, type of riding, rider weight....

Re: Venom bushings?
Thank you both.
Especially you Streetheap! Lots of help =]
I'll probably just get a set and see how it works out lol.
I'm just trying to figure out if a pair of these would work out better than my double barrel 90a venoms that I have in my rIIs.
For DH that is... lol.

For me it would.
I'm not a true, seasoned, pure DH guy (shortboard background), but I'm to the point where I like less play in my trucks. I think for RII hangers and Grizzly hangers, bigger + softer is the way to go for me. You'll still get a lot of lean out of you 50* plates, and I think with the Venom urethane, still plenty of rebound.
As far as duro..... More than likely up to you. I really don't give out duro advice because it's pretty subjective to personal preference. Board leverage- IE riding style, board wedging, ride height, wheel selection, etc.

Well then its off on a stim shaped adventure! I did try out my friends Jimz bushings in my rII 42* trucks, I think i probably would have liked them more if I got a longer chance lol. I also tried out the orange pumpkin bushings and those were horrid to me, so it kinda got me off on that shape.

I haven't tried the new eliminator shape (mine are on the way), but I've ridden the old protos, and If the new ones are anything like those, will rebound much more than a Jimz. Have fun with it!
