I've got 93a/81a on some of my 42/42 Randals, and they have great rebound and turn nice and deep. Very nice, and when I get some more 85a's, I'm going to run 93a/85a.

Mark, I know you weigh a bit more than me but my favorite combo as of late in the RII 42's is... 90a bottom front, 93a bottom rear, 85a tops all around. Real nice for cruising, carving, pumping etc.

I'm running 90a barrels in my Paris 180s atm and the top washer (tried running the standard cupwasher normally and flipped, tried a flat washer and I tried a smaller cupwasher flipped) keeps biting the hanger. It stops the lean and leaves nasty scars in the nice red paint.. How do I solve this?

Cba to sift through 40 pages to find a solution to this - if there is one.

grab one of your venom barrels and go to home depot , ace hardware, some hardware store

they have washers of every shape and flavor, I picked up a 50 pack of perfectly shaped washers for 3$ , they are the exact size of the top of a venom barrel ,

as long as you are slow about tightening your axle nut and making sure that the washer doesnt slide too far to one side the washer wont bite your venom in a turn

    Thanks
I did try a perfectly sized flat washer already though, and it bites..
I guess tightening the trucks more would fix it, but I don't really want to run them any tighter than they are.. Right now, I can see 2 threads on the kingpin above the nut.
I think I miss my Randals

I already posted about this issue before, but here it goes again.

I bought some 80a supercarvers and they're too soft for me. Unfortunately DBS doesn't take back used merch (who can blame them) so I'm carefully deliberating before I decide to drop another 14 bucks on 4 little pieces of plastic.

I weigh 160 lbs, and will be riding on RII 180s with 75a gumballs on a 44" KS Scimitar. I want a lot of lean to maneuver around campus but a bit more resistance, rebound and stability than I'm getting from 80a.

The 80as are really easy to squeeze and deform with bare fingers... how do the higher duros compare? Maybe I'll just go with 2 yellows and 2 reds.

Anyone with a lot of experience riding on venoms have an idea?

I am your same weight and I use the same setup for my all around board.
...Just so you know. People do ride differently and such...

Edit: same setup i mean 90a+85a barrels.

Ok sounds like 85a + 90a would be hard to go wrong with. Of course double conical is going to feel a lot different than double barrel. I don't do any serious downhill tho so I should be good to go.

I always spend too much time at the keyboard over analyzing and too little time on my board.

Edit: Er, so does that mean 90a conical on top and 85a barrel on the bottom? lololo

Yeah this has been my issue with Paris Hangers. If you run the truck loose you just hit the hanger with the washer. Now thats what I call restrictive I think maybe lighter people might not have this issue. I also found that a sized flat washer on top just slides and then bites into the bushing.

try taking some sand paper to the top of your bushing and to the side of the washer that will be making contact

i did that to my eliminators because they were sliding all over the place and they are perfect now

I need to get me some nylon washers then. Looks like that's the only solution. Sad.. feels better with a cupwasher.
    I am light btw, 125ibs.
Now.. what international-shipping onlinestores carry nylon washers? I've only seen them at MHM. Hardware stores, maybe?

Yup yup. They actually should have different thicknesses, too, if they're a halfway decent hardware store.

ya hardware stores usually have them look for 3/8th inch or 10mm inner diameter

American hardware stores and Norwegian hardware stores are two different stories I'm afraid. I'll give it a shot though. Thanks for your help
