    Default inverted trucks clicking

I recently got a pair of black Bear 52* trucks with stock orange bushings from Muir. They work AMAZINGLY! but when i tried them out on a mini they would *CLICK* really loudly and kind of skip to the side. My friend's board has Alpines on a gravity mini and they do the same thing. it's really weird and makes it hard to turn at a constant rate. plz post possible suggestions! ty :3

    this one's odd.

could be coming from your wheels, sometimes the wheel clicks from side to side on the bearings. what wheels do you have?

hmm naw i checked that. i keep em PRETTY tight. It clicks in the specific spot... its weird.. i watched it and i dont see why it would. then i put them on my longboard they r amazing. something with the short boards and inverted trucks just makes that happen

Usually this is the top bushing washer popping in and out of the threads of the kingpin. Sometimes if you turn the truck enough, the washer will find a "happy" spot and stop shifting about making noise. Sometimes you have to adjust the tightness of the kingpin slightly in either direction to kill the sound.

check to see if your washers are hitting the hanger. if its not that then its the hanger hitting the kingpin. a solution for that would be tightening down the trucks or changing to like JimZ bushings or something else. are the hangers flipped? in my experience the bears click when you flip them from something touching the hanger.

I tried them really tight AND really loose. when they were tight it clicked at this one spot and made them jump to the FULL turning position. I.E. I ate ####. when they were loose i could barely ride them because they were shaking soo much they would click every 2 second making it next to impossible to stay on.

is it possibly the pivot cup that is clicking? I put soap shavings in my pivot cup.

also, I have gotten clicks when I was inside on the carpet trying out my trucks. When I went out to skate, no clicking. Something about carpet that makes them click.

ok it tried the soap thingy. they dont really click as noticeably but they still jump to the full turning position after hitting this one spot. >.> ???

K, I had the same problem it is defiantly the washer moving on the kingpin threads.
Reposition your bushings (by turning them clockwise/counter clockwise) then retighten you trucks. If it still does this adjust the tightness of your trucks, from my experience looser trucks do not do this as much. If all else fails flip you kingpin to the "nuts down" position (i.e. whe you tighten your trucks you should tightening the actual kingpin itself and not the nut), but doing this the washing should not have any threads to catch on (assuming Bear is still using the same kingpins from the last generation of trucks).

edit: i just realized you can not turn the bushings on the new bears... sorry, umm try flipping the washers maybe?
