which gullwings are they? You can change out the bushings. Get some bones hardcores, they will get you turning.

You can also change the risers (the thingys between the board and the trucks!) to wedge shaped ones with the thin edge towards the front.

The Exkate 101's will certainly turn sharply...as will Seismics.

Screw the "Originals": they're made from melted down hotwheel car bases and break all the time. The only people that don't break them are riders that barely ride... or just surf the internet. Originals cause your bearings to slow down, your wheels to bubble and melt and even cause some people to become "bi curious" (you can tell who they are because they will post denials that Originals suck). Oh, they are turny, though.

Loose trucks may save lives, but they wont save you any money on your car insurance.

Drop your gullwings. Try out some randals or seismics. Quickly. Since you're new the longboarding world, I would definetly not reccomend seismics as a first pair of trucks however. They're simply too amazing. Try out some randal 150's on your board, it'll rip.

As for keeping your current trucks, try angled risers and softer bushings. Bearings aren't going to have much of an impact on your turning radius. Face the tall end of the risers towards each other (some guy at my local skateshop tried to tell me otherwise when I was mounting up my Landy DH). That's the cheap solution anyways.

Bones hardcores are bushings. I skate some on my Indys. I like them. I've got the blue soft ones.

Using some softer bushings and riding those trucks loose could help. Using wedged risers do help. It will change the geometry of the truck. Depending on how you wedge you can increase or decrease the turniness. There is a good post on here somewhere with a diagram and stuff about wedged risers. I wedged my Indys and they were way turny after that.

I took me so long to write that, you had already posted this. Sorry, I didn't know that you wanted to use the same trucks.

i got bones hardcore soft blue bushings, they are alot better than before, but i also what new trucks, i have been on skateboards before just not longboards or how to fix them. what seismic to get for great carving and turning, i was reading about the new alluminum but i'm still not sure, any suggestions? anybody?

also i measured the standard gullwings that came with my board and its 8.375 and just a question does the size of the trucks matter if it is bigger than 8.375 for my board? thanks.

Width does matter. Narrower turn quicker but wider are more stable at speed.
