well, you see stock kingpins are ussualy grade 2 or 3. they snap. and after they snap and before you hit the ground, you will realize that someone on silverfish told of about this problem. this is why most all of us ride grade 8 kingpins, and we flip them also, so you would have to apply so much force(something around 300-400 pounds per square inch) to the kingpin to snap it, you deserve eating pavment.

Yeah man, upgrading the king pin is a good move. I used to think that king pins snapping was just some sort of urban legend until I was cruising a long and my kingpin snapped. BAD NEWS. I was lucky because I was going slow, but carving or bombing would be iminent death....or at least hurt. Upgrade to something like grade 8.
