Default Gullwing Sidewinder Question

I'm thinking about getting some gullwing sidewinders, I usually longboard just to get from place to place and I think they would be a fun way to screw around while I get there.

I like the deep carve a lot, but is there a certain length that your deck should be for these trucks?

Wheel bite wouldn't be an issue, but I'd be mounting them on like a 38" deck.

I'm pretty new to longboarding so any help would be great.

Thanks.

p.s. What is the best website to order from if I do decide to get these? Thanks again.

You can put them on any length board. I think S9 has them on boards ranging from 32" to 38". I have them on the Off the Wall but I've put them on a 41" board. Keep in mind that because of the design they'll add a couple of extra inches to your wheelbase over a say Randals etc. Wheel bite is a major issue with them though even on boards with cutouts because the hanger sits over the outside edge of the baseplate not the center to inside edge like a reverse kingpin and they have a ton of lean. You also can't really do a dropthrough mount with them (unless it's flush) because the pivot block gets in the way,,,although you could mill some material out of the way to help that. Hope that helps.

What deck do you plan to put them on?

You can get em here...note what it says about deck shape etc.

They are a lot of fun!

I"m not sure if that's such a good Idea. that deck is for wider trucks so it would be a bit tippy and wheelbitey
