buddy of mine just got the new bear 852's and put them on a dervish,
they ride amazingly well, out performs my gullwing chargers & randal 180s by an incredible amount.
I was looking at the bushings, they are huge, and seem to be cut to fit inside of the trucks perfectly, I'm assuming that's what accounts for the huge leap in performance.
landyatchz said they were just khiro red bushings, but they look like " Bear 90a Medium Orange Pumpkin Bushings ".
Are there any bushings that fit in the new bear 852's that make them perform even better? Hard carving / crusing / sliding, not much DH .
How about gullwing chargers? I'm thinking of buying bear 852's after seeing how well they perform , but if I can just jam a set of pumpkin bushings into them I may do that, I'm still riding on the stock bushings and IMO they stink in comparison.
(still using the forum /search to dig up more answers )
I've got white jimZs in my bears and they feel mega twitchy.
Even with the hangers flipped and kingpins tightened down to the max the trucks still feel too loose.
In comparison, super loose 150 RIIs with white khiros on my flex4 pintail feel more stable at speed.
Guess i just need to get used to the bears huh?...
I thought I liked the pumpkins myself honestly, they are nice for freeride if your just into crusing lazily like an old man,
I put my chargers bushings into them and noticed a huge improvement in turning radius & rebound, and they are old and beat to hell,
I went to a local shop & bought some red dohdoh's 95a I think, and the trucks ride so well now, its amazing. I want to get some venom bushings and see if that makes them any nicer,
trust me, go spend the 5$ and put something other than the stock bushings into your bears
