The Carver turn more over the front (the front truck turns more than the rear truck), while the Originals turn equal. I ride both trucks on differnet board, my O's are S8. I get the most fun out of theese truck in different stances. The CX feels best with the rear foot over or better behind the truck. I love it the most on a deck with a huge kicktail like the faltown Bomb. The truck was also fun with the Gravity Carver 39.
For the O‘s I like a stance between the trucks and a board a little longer above 40 inch. I loved it under a Bahari 44 and still ride it under my ED E. 57 inch. The CX ride silent and smooth, the Originals ride a little harsh and they rattle a bit depending on road surface.
All the boards had custom risers, cutouts or wheelwells.
After riding both trucks for two years or so with different decks and wheels my peronal-choice setups are:
CX, Faltown Bomb, NoSoolz 65
S8, Ed Economy, Powerballs (this setup tends to drift over the front wheels, Fly's were much stickier, Flashbacks to slippery. The Powerballs are verry controlable, I like the drifting, it's fun)
