when i heard 42* randals had a lot of lean, i never imagined this...
so im running 42/42 randal 180s on my topmount dh deck with 70mm otangs (worn down around 65mm i'd guess). I've been trying all types of bushings but everything gives me REALLY aggressive wheelbite... this deck has wheel cutouts so idk what is up. i've tried black jimz's, a bunch of combos of yellow/red/black khiro barrels (double barrel setups), even double blacks up front and it still bites, A LOT. I've even tightened the kingpin until the bushings are deformed as hell and nothing is working...
so my question is; what the ####? if all else fails i can throw these on my dropthru and run crails topmounted. it doesn't make much sense though because my crail/dropthru setup is on yellow and blue khiros and its plenty tight for me.
please help & thank you.

Use really restrictive bushings like harder stims and a shock pad.
Tightnening the bushings wont do you any good because cranking down the kingpin just brings the hanger closer to the deck with the compression of the bottom bushing.
Re: when i heard 42* randals had a lot of lean, i never imagined this...
i encounter the same problem on my avenger with 42* randals with grippins. if you dont run a riser then you're really restricted in the turning dept. especially with center set wheels like grippins.
Re: when i heard 42* randals had a lot of lean, i never imagined this...
i realize they're low, but is there any way to make them just not ####### bite? its not like im trying to topmount 85mm wheels, i just want this setup to work without ####### me over haha.
and caster, it's a roggs widowmaker
edit: i suppose i'll toss some risers on but a;sldkfjasdkl;jf i dont want to haha.

a small riser (1/8'' in my case) does the trick just fine, but then again i have wheel wells

i have wheel wells too... i guess i'll throw a riser on there but i am retarded and bought 2" hardware and im not unscrewing 16" of fine-threaded screws without a drill. hahah.

Re: when i heard 42* randals had a lot of lean, i never imagined this...
I was running 42/42 on my deck with two 1/8 risers (basically 1/4 risers) and I was getting wheel bite on with the front truck so i decided to raise the front with a 50* randal. it cured the wheel bite and gave me more turning. I hit low 40s mph with 50/42 without wobbles. today I noticed I could probably take out one of the two 1/8 risers under the front 50* truck and not get wheelbite.
So now the front has an 1/8 riser 50*baseplate and the back has a 1/4 riser 42*baseplate.
don't be afraid of raising the board or switching to a different angle. if you can't make the bushings work try something else out.
Re: when i heard 42* randals had a lot of lean, i never imagined this...
good advice, have you taken it above low 40's though? im shooting for 50 soon i want it to be nice and stable. i've hit 45 with the setup i mentioned before with the crails and dropthru deck.

I weigh 225, and had the same problem with my Hill Killer and 70mm Zigs. I cut wheel wells. But seeing as that isn't an option on the Widowmaker....
I imagine double Jimz bottoms could work if you are fairly light.
I know you like these trucks to be low. Before I cut larger wheel wells, I found dewedging the rear and wedging the front worked really well. I ran hard green Rad bushings in the back (to compensate for the easier lean with the dewedging) and double Jimz black bottoms up front. The resulting lean b/w the front and rear was comparable, and the added height of the risers was just enough to avoid wheelbite in most cases.
Other than that, I don't know...
