Hey guys... I have only been riding for a few days (I just finished building my board) let me start out by saying that it is the greatest thing to do on four wheels... mountain biking is the best on two. I am just riding on the stock bushings now...
I weigh 240 pounds,
ride on 70's oldschools
and am wondering if the board is supposed to be soooooo loose... my shortboard is like standing on the ground compared to this. Either way, I still enjoy it, but should I be getting harder bushings like khiro blacks or purples?
thanks for the inputs.
I think black and purple should be fine for a more stable ride. if you want pretty carvy, go yellow
i weigh about 210 and i wouldn't get blacks or purple (but i like a loose, carvy ride). But if you want a stable ride, black or purple should be fine.
i ride my loaded pintail with loose paris 150's and blue and orange barrels. I love the way it rides, but its all personal preference.

cool... I like the feeling of the stock bushings but want something a little more stable for when I am pushing {I live on the top of a hill so going down is easy but up sucks) so maybe I will try the yellow's or just ride the stocks until they need to be replaced.
thanks for the input
I am 240.
For a really carvy set-up, I use Khiro red barrels on bottom and blue barrels on top.
For a more stable setup, I use Khiro yellow bitch bushings in the front, and black in the back.
The bushing kit is a good idea if you don't know what type of set-up you like yet, or you can get what you think will be good and slowly build a diverse bushing arsenal. I never got the kit because I didn't want to pay for bushings I would never use (white and orange are too soft for me.)
