Flipped trucks?

Beginner here and i was wondering what flipping your trucks mean. I heard it makes it more stable or somthing. Can someone tell me what they do and how to do it? Much appreciated.

I actually was wondering what the point of flipping the trucks was for myself.

Speaking of Randall gear... Will a change between 50* base plates to 42* base plates make a big difference as far as stability is concerned?

The 42* plates will be more stable as you turn less for the same lean. They are also lower to the ground.
