What if someone made a baseplate, that on the bushing seat, the metal was recessed, so that it was far enough away from the hangar, you could fit two normal sized bushings underneath the hangar. I assume it would add quite a bit of lean and make the trucks much carvier.
any way i'm pretty sure that karrot has done something similer on some of his custom baseplates at least from pictures I see that some of them can hold very tall bushings.

there's a limit to how far you can go and still give the baseplate enough strength to hold the kingpin - either that or you end up with a high plate, which now that think about it actually wouldn't be too bad for a dedicated carve truck.
