I have had my indy's for a couple of years, i really love them for cruising, but a couple weeks ago my board hit a curb and part of the pivot cup busted out on my front truck. I thought they had a lifetime warranty, so i tried emailing them 3 times. they just ignored me though, and started sending me ads on my email i gave to them. am i wrong when i remember a lifetime warranty, or do they just have really bad customer service?

why not, it's part of the truck right? and it's not like that area gets worn down, so it makes me think it may be a weakness in the metal itself. i do like indy's though, maybe i should just support them and get new ones. shiny...

You spent (approx) $40 and got a couple of years out of them? That sounds like a good deal to me. Fork over another $40 and get some more Indys. When I was a kid and skating every day, I was lucky if trucks would last 6 months. Then again, I was bashing them into parking blocks, curbs, walls, etc.
I don't think Core baseplates are of the same quality as Indy. I could be wrong, but Core trucks are cheaper/lower quality.
Good idea if his hangers are still good, and he's looking to save a few bucks, but I would just get some new shiny Independent trucks. Built to Grind.
Indy stage 10 baseplates are forged, which makes them pretty much unbreakable. The kingpins are a bit short for longboard use; but they're built to grind.

I get my skateboards at the Soda Factory and my bones fixed at Primacare Orthopedics (Fall River, MA).
Ya I just bought some Stage 10s for a pool board and the kingpin was so short I could barely get the nut on with red Khiros, and it just barely reached the nylon by the time they got tight.

Bones HardCores fit fine, and work great. Short kingpins and all.

I've heard that you aren't supposed to use washers with Bones hardcore bushings; is that true?
You don't need to.
