    Default Originals for slalom?

A question for all the lovers of original trucks esp the 6's, If they turn so well why don't you see any slalom guys on them? Are they still to wide or not tweakable enough or what? They do look damn good but being in Australia if I want to try them them I have to buy them.

I think the answer is TOO WIDE.

I'll be back living in Sydney next April and I'll be keen to run some slalom.

I had a bahne Black hill slalom board.
My Original longboard turns better, imo.

But I suck at slalom and I don't why there not good for it.
But you're right there just not used for slalom.

They turn great on a longboard and I like to "slalom" thru people
and obstacles. Works great for that.

I think width, and the fact that they arent all that snappy is a factor.. but my OS6's should be here today or by the end of the week, so I'll get to see for myself.

I think Crass is right, they just don't snap back to center like a slalom truck should. They sure turn like crazy though.

Ok, well.. ORIGINALS are NUTS. They do snap back quite well actually.. they turn like a normal truck, then they hit this one point where its so sharp you think its gonna throw you but it doesnt. Orriginals are definately somethin else.

My Originals are hiding in the closet because of the problems I kept having with them sliding out.

I don't think they are used for slalom because they have a point in the center where the cams mesh together. At that point, there is too much resistance to make a fluid, quick turn. I hope that makes sense. Anybody who owns them, did that make sense?
Loose trucks may save lives, but they wont save you any money on your car insurance.

Alright Drew, how the ***** do you DO those pics? Is that my Upland ID card? What MY mullet wasn't good enough, you had to add to it?

And who is Willie Nelson? I know OD is on the left.

Oh, and the Originals do have that weird turning curve, I'm not sure how well they would work for slalom, not that I'm a great slalomer or anything.

Actually the snap back to center is quite pronounced.
They pump like crazy and turn like nothing else.
    Freakin' awesome.

Still not the hot ticket for slalom.

    Carving yes, slalom no.

I dunno why, maybe too wide as was said before.

I'd try running some cones on my big board.

I bet I can hit more than you.

I would say stibility is the thing.

You need it turny, you need it quick, but you need it stable. And i am not sure the mechanism would take the agressive turns.
