    Default Turning vs. wobs

Looking for a decent truck that most everyone could agree has a good balance of speed vs. turnyness (let's not forget $) without alot of adjustments.
So what kind of radius could I expect for carving when the trucks are cranked down for speeds of no more than 30mph? Ya know...when in transitions you dont want to stop and have to tool on something.

randals and trackers are both turny and stable cant think of too many other trucks that are a middle ground between weird downhill sh!t that wont turn and carve machines like origonals.

randal 180's are totally the way to go. at first i was a sceptic* of the whole randal design and thought pivots with good bushings were fine. but after i got used to them (it takes a few days) i started bombing the hill next to my house(30mph weirdly enough) with very loose trucks.....then i bombed one of my friends hills which is good for around here (hit 35 sometimes) and i started to wobble due to a "snake" stlye whole in the road, once you get in it it automatically starts turning you, and with the randals, ig ot out of the wobble easily. i recommend blue stims on bottom and bottom red indy on top. BUT FAST, THE BLUE STIMS ARE SELLING FAST. if you surf mile high, everyones orders contain stims, hurry!

depending on your weight, you could go with seismics with stiffer springs

Bardo, if all you've been riding so far are "traditional" style trucks like Indy, Tracker, Grind King, Pivot, etc... then I think you will be amazed at the "inverted kingpin" trucks like the Randal, or the Torsion trucks like the Exkate (that use the same kingpin angle idea as a Randal/inverted truck). These trucks are very turny yet very stable at a "looseness" that would lead to death wobbles on a traditional truck. Go looking, and get a chance to ride a set of Randals. You will be amazed at how turny but stable they can be.

Thanks to all for their input. At this point I'll most likely nab the Randals.
Are 180s and IIs the same truck? And angled risers; when might I want them and what do they do?(insert newb joke here).
Yes I've only ridden trad. style trucks so far. Looking foward to a new feel...

Either Randals will work - the 180's or 150's, but in my opinion, 80% of the wobbles come from your head.

Before I knew better I skated pure Pivots and didn't have problems with wobbles mainly because I didn't know I should.. now skating pivots I feel like I'm going to die. It's all in the head.

    Uh... I say no.

I bombed a hill wth gullwing street shadows with indy hard bushing loose - so there was a bit of wobble before the bushing offered any resistance.

    I didn't even think twice.

80% of it wasn't in my head - I awsn't even thinking about wobbled until I started getting small wobbles, then fishtailing up until I got thrown and my head hit the road.

Needless to say I had some sense "scraped" into me in the form of tar seal.

But that's different I suppose, after all that's probably on of the most speed wobble prone ways to have trucks.

    That's the 20% I'm talking about.

If you have no resistance whatsoever (in your case your trucks being much too loose) sure, bad things will happen regardless. The point is, even those Gullwings would have worked fine if they were set up properly.
