    Default DH trucks

i have two things to say/ask.
    1. why are the DH truck line's hangers so slim if wider trucks are more stable?
    2. where can i get the cheapest dh truck pair with shipping included?

wider trucks are mores stable but that's not the main reason why the dh's are so stable. it's teh angle at witch the hanger is mounted that determins stability a lot more than the width of the hanger.

the hangers are slimmer so that the truck turns, but it has a 30 degree baseplate angle so itis stable. beleive me, with stock bushings and the 160mm hangers on the baseplates, you wont have stability issues until you hit really really fast speeds. ive done 40mph without wobbles, and it felt suprisingly turny when i had to take a 90 degree turn at the bottom.

dh's with 180s on is a great combo only because well most downhill boards are like 10" wide and you need a longer hanger to fit centerset wheels and to make it so that you have the correct leverage over the truck. they seem to turn better if you have them unflipped because of the positive castor. I flip the back one to take turning out and leave the front normal so that theres less oversteer. And if you get serious about downhilling then youll want to get some straight strong axles put in cuz my hangers where bent like hell but now mellow out has to deal with that...heh

the baseplate has a 35 degree angle.

i got 180 hangers on my DH baseplates and its super stable but turns amazing. ive hit close to 80km/hr and it held up super good. i usually ride pretty tight when im doing downhill, but i rode it pretty loose and it was more stable than i thot.
