    Default which baseplates?

so I plan on getting an insect mosquito with the CF bottom.
I plan on usiong this board for some cruising, sliding and mild dh.
I have picked the randal 180s with a 50/35 baseplates.

Will this combo give me enough turnability for comfortable
carving and enough stability for light dh (<30 mph)?

Sounds like you already bought em, I went Randal 42's on my drop-thru on front and rear - carves good and stable. 50 front and 35 rear sounds like you are targeting an EVO like front steering set-up. Anyway, bumpin this in case others have input.

stability shouldn't be much of an issue with those angles, especially at the speeds you are planning on. it's really just personal preference in terms how you want your board to feel. i personally like having the same angle front and back for the disciplines you are describing. my advice is to do some experimenting. thats part of the fun...

I think 35 in the back is prob to much. I would go with 42 in the back and 50 in the front or just 42 all around

I wouldn't lie to you buddy! The 35/50 setup is tits for everything other than super hard carving.

Ya i bet thats a solid setup for some good speeds, the only issue is when you 180 hangers in the 35 plates it wears out the pivot cup pretty bad cause its not a great fit. Just my opinion. Have fun and be safe

Going 35/50 for "cruising, sliding and mild dh." is a bad idea IMO, go 50 front and back. You`ll thank me later.

    ^^^^^^^ Yes!

The Mozzy is a flexable carving board. Go 50*/50*. Which is still stable for sub 30 cruising.

hahah I know, thanks for your help again. I just wanted some additional input.

I think I will take your advice and maybe just but some baseplates to play around with.

I rode 42 42 on a dervish for awhile and with a nice soft bushings setup the carve is awesome. I preferred it over those POS gullwing chargers. I've run 50/35 as well, was fine, especially for speedboards but it depends on the feel you want. I'd go 42/42. If you get the extra plates though I think you'll have some fun. 42/35 is awesome for fast bombs on a stiff drop through if you have another board.

yeah if its only going to be sub 30s you really don't need anything below 50, so go with them and get the best response you can. That said my 42/42 randals do carve pretty good but 50s ride alot more responsive.
