Re: The pros and cons of paris vs. randal
Paris looks better than randal.
Paris has a better bushing seat than randal which makes them alot smother imo.
Paris baseplate shape annoys me.
Paris now has venom bushings stock.
Actually the bushing seat on the randal is pretty nice now, I didnt realize that im thinkin about the old ones.

Re: The pros and cons of paris vs. randal
Nothing wrong with Randals.. You'll be happy.
Think about it, Randals are what all others are usually compared to. They have their quirks but so do all trucks.

Re: The pros and cons of paris vs. randal
yea the new randals are pretty much paris trucks that just arnt as shiny and smooth, but functionally theyre almost the same, the bushing seat is different but I think the new randal trucks have that cut out to let the bushing bulge out a bit which helped alot. Theyre both great.

Re: The pros and cons of paris vs. randal
ok, and the what ones are more stable?
The 50 degree kingpin thing on the randals, whats the difference?
-
Re: The pros and cons of paris vs. randal
Paris and Randal are both 50 degrees so don't worry about it. The lower the degree the less it turns and the more "stable" it is. The only thing I don't like about Randals is that they're hard to dial in with bushing setups.

Idk man, thats what it said in concrete wave. Maybe I read it wrong but Im pretty sure Paris trucks are now stock with Venom bushings.

Re: The pros and cons of paris vs. randal
Paris trucks are a little more lively IMO. Randals feel a little more stable.

Yes, Paris look nicer than Randals - but have you ever looked at Indy trucks, they look like some kids first metal shop casting project, and everyone loves Indy's - don't worry about the look so much. If you really want to have some fun get both the Randals and the Paris trucks and swap em around, then you will have trucks for a second board (which, of course you will need very soon).

oh heck yeh, now that i know randal are made here. i am glad i went with those. Indy's are hands down the toughest truck ever. i had mine on my trick deck for 3 or 4 years. this one poolrider at my local skate park, he had indy's and they had a U out of them from griding so much and he would air in and out of the bowl and the never broke.

All new Paris Trucks are built with Venom Bushings STOCK. Same shape, same formula... There will still be some old Paris Trucks floating around from old stock without the Venom Bushings in them, but ALL Paris trucks are now made with USA made Venom Bushings. If ya don't know, now ya know.
Thanks,
Paris Truck Co.

Re: The pros and cons of paris vs. randal
the Venom bushings on the Paris trucks are great.
I tend to enjoy Randals better because they have a different feel compared to Paris trucks. I can't really explain it you just have to try it out for yourself.
I noticed that when I put my Paris trucks on my Hypercarve it makes the board super stiff and the carvy feeling is lost.
