Wait...how can "smoke" at 40mph? I bet you he had a siezed bearing...

It sounds like they are saying their ability is beyond what current decks offer so they made these new...same decks. It makes no sense.

Seems like the evo, without the "evo".

I think they did a pretty good job. I know a few people who wedge their back trucks to zero anyway. For noobs who don't know how to wedge, this is a g-dsend.

If people need to wedge their trucks to zero to be able to handle speed, then they need to spend more time on a board learning how to skate..

And what is this he's saying about nothing big has happened when it comes to trucks? I'm pretty sure there are several more innovative trucks out there than this amazing product. But hey, they say it's going to be the best, so I shouldn't judge before I've ridden them(wich I probably never will)..

agreed, however, these weren't made for downhill racers. These are definitely a noob truck. Anyone who actually bombs hills would know that wobbles are mostly mental.

Looks like a front and rear specific "DH" truck. Cool. Likely a trap, but cool nonetheless.

I heard JimZ was running a similar set-up a while ago.. 0º in the back, 20º in the front or something wack like that. I forget the rest of the story though, sorry for the brainfart.

a lot of us already do this, its he same idea as runing 50/35s, but this is a 50/0. same concept as the evo really. definitly not worth the price tag, but it would work fine.

Lets look at the price here. Then the application. Then the target market and their bio.

The deal with the Insane Asylum trucks, once you get through some marketing rhetoric, appears to be that they're an asymmetrical set of trucks: the front truck is a Randal-style with about a 50-degree angle and a zero-degree rear truck. This isn't a totally new idea, but it is the first production version, unless you consider the Ben Lukoszek has been doing this with his adjustable Grombiz trucks for quite some time (but the IA trucks are fixed angle).

The IA guys are at Surf Expo, right now, and Malakai has been shooting pics and checking the stuff out for us. Keep an eye on his coverage for more, I reckon.

Yeah, it seems like these trucks are basically for noobs, and it will end up that people bomb hills they aren't good enough to ride, and end up pretty ****ed up.

The trucks also look kind of cheap....sort of like trucks you would see on a Walmart DH board.

God dammit... People really need to get more information on a sport they love before they go and make parts for it. More info then what you and your friends say is pro. Try actually going online and looking at what fast is. I know he has a decent, usable idea, but this is ridiculous. Going fast does have a certain level of skill to it. Not as much as other aspects of DH such as cornering, drafting, and tucking, but still. It takes some effort to achieve real speed for the first little while.

i think theyre entire marketing scheme is a brilliant example of "not properly researching your target market"

so much stuff could be done better in that company...

Once again, they aren't targeting us...

Do you know how many companies claim to have total and complete simulation of snowboarding and surfing? Do you know how many of the companies are totally full of ####? About 95%...

They are targeting people who have bombed a hill and have gotten wobbles. Those people don't realize that wobbles go away with experience, and are looking for a quick fix.

These trucks are perfect for that and will make plenty of cash. QUIT YER WHINING
