whats the difference between the Bear 1040's,840's and, 52's and what ones do you prefer for dh and sliding

1040- 10mm axel, 40* plate
1052- 10mm axel 52* plate
852- 8mm axel 52* plate
840- 8mm axel 40* plate

people usually use the 10mm axel when running a really large wheel like 80mm+

people usually use a lower angle for downhill

10's are 10mm axles and 8's are the standard 8mm.. the 52 is the angle of the base Iyt depends on the board, as to what trucks work best re> angle

I"ve got a set of 852's. Had em quite a while.

Great set of trucks. I'm doing a bunch of slope-style, slides. Thrashing them too, they still stand really well.

852's, I own both the old and new ones and they're both pretty good. I recommend them over Randal's. Just make sure you replace those pumpkin bushings, I seriously have not rode a crappier bushing since bones reds that are stock in the old Bears.

are you using them for downhill or just cruising? (if its crusing i sugest randals or fastracks) if its downhill i sugest 1040s if your over 175 and if you arent its up to you

Incidentally, I'm pretty sure both the 40º plates and the 10mm hangers are out of production... or just ridiculously backlogged.

40*s have to be bought from landy via email.

i have 852's and theyre great for cruising and little pumping and even for a little dh when you flip the hangars but if you went to get a little bit more serious about dh then get the 40's

nothing is good for both DH and sliding except grip tape and bones reds.
