Which trucks for downhill?
Which trucks should I get for moderate size hills? And what are some other things I can do to reduce speed wobble?

Re: Which trucks for downhill?
get gullwing sidewinders. O and if you put some risers on your board that should help reduce speed wobble.

randals, bear, paris are the usual go-to trucks. i have all 3 and they are great for anything.
to reduce speed wobbles, practice. dont try and bomb a hill you never tried before. start 1/2 way up and then work your way up from there. also if u can switch to a harder bushing in back. wobbles come from the rear truck so by minimizing the turniness of he truck you can avoid wobbles.
when you get going, keep your weight on the front of the board. all of your steering should come from the front. and by focusing your weight up front you can reduce the chance of wobble.
hope this helped.
and just for future reference try the search function, theres a lot of info to search through but its worth it because most of the time you find useful tips from skaters better than myself.

you wouldnt just die once, but a 100 times. those trucks are straight sketch after 20ish mph. get randals or paris's.

Re: Which trucks for downhill?
Randal rII 180 is the truck you should get, or Paris 180. Perfect trucks for almost every hill. It depends a little on what board you are going to put them on, but those two trucks are incredibly versatile.
I hate signatures, so i turned them off

Re: Which trucks for downhill?
yeah dude. im sorry man. we were just being sarcastic.
i mean my friend has sidewinders with half inch risers and he uses them probably up to 20ish but i mean thats been his first board so he gets a really good feel for it.
but seriously though take the randals, paris's, or bears into consideration

this kinda stuff stopped being funny from awhile ago.
Even though it's annoying to answer the same question over and over again, "use the search function, nub" is better than misleading response like this.
Alright, back to topic.
After riding different trucks in stock condition, i found out that fastracks & bears are the least..uh..wobble-inducing (lol...) trucks.

So, wobbles come from the back, but putting all your weight up front (and thus leaving the back end with less pressure on the bushings) will reduce wobbles? Think about this again.
Wobbles come from both the front and back, but much more so from the front, hence the reasoning behind keeping your weight centered more over the front than the back. If the back was the wobbler, you'd be sitting back on your board, not bunched up on the front.
As mentioned before, try out some Randal R-II 180s, Paris 180s, or Bear Grizzlies. Crails are also great downhill trucks, as well as Gullwing Chargers or Bombers. Personally, I use Gullwing Chargers for DH because their plenty stable at high speeds, but they still turn like crazy when going slower.

Re: Which trucks for downhill?
being the poor kid i am i use old gen randal 180s with 50/50 and randal black DH bushings, its really stable (and stiff which is how i prefer) and if you loosen them up a little they are pretty responsive. but this is a personal choice i would recommend
