i finally decided to go with a force c7 back truck and a r2 50* in teh front. it feels good just riding around a little. hopefully it will be stable at speeds. ^_^, the fastest ive gone is 45 mph and i dotn plan on going too much faster. so i think i should be ok.

i dont wanna thread jack , but why is everyone so pumped on crails?

are they really stable or something? cause ive never ridden them and ive always assumed they were very similar to randals, with randals that have 50 degree baseplates and stock bushings , v.s the crail model most similar to randal 180's , which is more stable?
    loaded dervish- randal 180's(stock)- gumballs
comet pagan- randal 180's(red and green venoms)- otangs
    loaded ceviche- paris 150's(stock)- strikers

Oh, what wheels are you running? Force axles bend easily.

50 degree randals feel considerably different compared to crails.

Crails is teh suck unless they are set up right. Anything bigger than barrels bushings and they are no good IMO. But other than that they are a very strongly built 45 degree cast truck that are pretty nice set up right. Im just more of a randal guy. Cant beat the lean of those 42* plates.

For all you fashion skaters crails has you covered.

Really? My jimz bushings are pretty enormous, and they feel way better tan any barrel bushing in crails.

Personally, I like crails on a topmount as they're pretty solid and benefit from greater leverage. I have c7s on a wedge fronted dropthrough and they run okay, so I'd guess the combo you have will work.
What's the worst that could happen?

ALL trucks "is teh suck" as you so nicely put it, if they're not set up right. Not one single truck is great when set up wrong, and thats a fact!
I hate signatures, so i turned them off

So, is that why you list them in favorite companies in your profile? I kid, I kid.

Seriously, as stated above, set up is critical. If you take some rock hard bushings and stick them in Randals, they suck too. Ride a set of Crails with some soft double cones, and they lean great.

That was from a while ago, but I never said I dont like them. Ive just grown to like my trucks leany. I just cant stand jimz in crails. They feel gross to me and several other riders in the area.

Crails on Jimz was what my first DH setup was, on a demonseed. Hated it. Went to venoms and it felt a lot better, now switched to 42 randal plates and paris hangars topmounted. Now I want randals on my demonseed, that would make it come alive.

I don't like JimZ in Crails much either. They are much better with a cones, barrels or a cone and a barrel. Soft duro as well.

One of my favorite ways to run them is with stock Randal bushings. It really opens up the lean on them.

To get the Crail/Jimz combo to lean properly (IMO), you either need to mount them to a wide-ass topmount or somehow get the kingpin under 40*. For this very reason, I often use this combo as a rear truck on my Evo and it's pretty frickin sweet. Then I just run the standard 50* R2 up front.
Crails have a unique feel that I can't get from other cast trucks. The only thing I really fuss over is the shitty pivot and how easily it wears out becomes sloppy, but that's an easy fix.

Plus as someone mentioned, they can look tacky/cool.
