anyways, yeah, im serious, but its cause i wanted a set and now i can see they are beat to hell, can you make me one with a jimz axle hanger set up, great idea but sloppy build, who cares, make em cost 400 each, you still would have had a market chris, now you just leave a bad taste in a lot of the best consumers mouths who actually paid.
but i can accept that today , get it?
chris is guilty of giving into the pressure of everyone who bitched and moaned about the release of these trucks. yes he made a mistake, but it happens. and since no body got hurt, why put the man down with legal action.
anyone who decides to take legal action against chris is looking for immediate satisfaction, but will probably do more damage to our sport than good. if you are ok doing that then i politely ask that you drop the sport and go play card games.
and as for the bad taste in people's mouth, thats a premature statement seeing as chris has not responded to the people (if anyone) who wrote about the trucks to him.
before people begin to speculate, lets wait for chris' response about the situation.

Re: official Truck Failure thread...
For sure give him a chance to do right before you start calling for legal advice, we're skaters, not wall street douche bags. I have sympathy for the guy, Lord knows how much money he has dumped into this sport. From sponsoring many riders, helping Mischo out a ton, prize money for events, etc, etc. He deserves any break he can get, but I just don't understand how the failure rate of these axles is so high. Maybe everyone forgot to read the fine print when they bought these, haha.

He's running shorter hangers, which are prolly stronger.

Re: official Truck Failure thread...
see legal action like this is why we cant skate anywhere
liability is killing our sport
#### happens and people go for legal action instead of talking it out with our small knit community
keep the law out lets handle it within our community

Re: official Truck Failure thread...
Just got off the phone with SK8Trip, it seems like many people are disappointed with their recent purchases with FYRE Trucks. We want to get all of the negative / positive feedback on these trucks and go into the next run with all of the issues resolved. Chris is not pleased to have so many people disappointed with the trucks, and wants to hear your feedback!
Please email info@sk8trip.com with any problems / issues you have found with the trucks.
Thanks!
If your not skating for fun, what are you skating for?

Re: official Truck Failure thread...
Ok, here is some random dudes perspective
Speedfiend, grow up, people getting sue happy is what ruins America
That being said, it im paying 400$ for a set of trucks, the axels better not bend that easily, and if they do, i would want my money back, or a new set of non-defective trucks.

Seriously? You're trying to bankrupt abec11 with a legal battle of legal attrition? That is probably the most dickish thing I've ever heard of, both in terms of sticking it to your community, as well as precipitating the crapfest that is the American economy. Thanks speedfiend.
Sorry, but I ####### love chaput's products, and this #### is ridiculous. Trust abec to make it right, before you bend Chris over the barrel, lube up, and aim for penetration.

Re: official Truck Failure thread...
SpeedFiend, do you really think it will come to that? Have a little faith. How old is this problem, a couple of days?

Re: official Truck Failure thread...
Whoa, time differences are a biatch, can't believe some of the BS I just read. My axles bent, yea i'm not happy but I ain't hurt and i'm sure i will get a reply from CC as some stage about the Fyres and what he intends to do. As for legal action, whoever started that thread can suck on my dogs ####.
I must admit I thought it strange at the w/e when i found turning left a problem, now it has become clear why, bent axles.

Re: official Truck Failure thread...
I doubt Speedy is actually going to go out of his way with legal action on this matter. Relax.

Re: official Truck Failure thread...
IMO, I feel like enough has been said on both sides of the argument and i think it would be best to drop the topic completely untill someone hears from Chris to see if he'll make good or not.

Chris will take care of it. Just from experience it will take longer than anyone will like but it will most likely be taken care of. It seems like Chris is willing to admit fault pretty easily and is down to deal with it.
