woohoo! somehow i knew this was bound to happen. the bp sticks out beyond the nose of the killswitch. good thing it didn't break off while on my last run for the day. that would've been interesting.

now, i'm forced to ride 50* front and 42* back. haha. let's see how it goes.

50/42 actually feels really good. however you might want to use more riser on the back because the 42 is going to be a bit lower

50/42 feels way better for me.
    More turn less movement.
The height difference doesnt really matter or affect anything. It will be fine.

hmm, can't wait to skate! work keeps me busy.

this time around, i'll be putting back my rubber bumper for the nose coz the bp still sticks out beyond the killswitch nose. wouldn't want to redrill mounting holes just yet.

It did'nt fail. My board got away frome me on a shut down slide, and while sliding down hill on my kneepads and slide pucks it hit a boulder, instead of going over the edge. I guess the lizard was scared too!

50* F 42* rear works on a lot of my set ups. Good choice. Thats a scarry baseplate fail though. The cast aluminum in the base plate dosent seem all that great. That's what I'm using though.

It's happened to me, too. I had 42* plates on the longest wheebase of my Neme, lost the board in a slide and it took on a sewer cap at about 30mph blew the pivot cup straight off the board.
You are not the light of my life.

Just to see what you would do with it.

The casting on that particular baseplate ain't so great. Maybe Randall truck co. will beef it up in the near future.

That Killswitch deserves some nicer trucks on it.

Well, most baseplates arent designed to take an impact like that in the case of the killswitch. Randal has a great truck, that is perfectly strong if you dont have the pivot cup going past the deck.

Yeah I really like my Randalls. They are the first reverse kingpin trucks I ever tried. On some of my set ups I use the 42 degree base plate. Randalls are one of the 3 cast trucks I recommend to people new to longboarding.
