The axles that had the problem were only in the prototypes, the production run 10 sets all had threads recessed 3/16 into the hangar. As for Greens truck, besides not having the nut on the pivot the original owner of that set had swapped the hardened pivots from the Fuks with a set of non hardened pivots from his Splitfires. There have been no problems that I am aware of from the production batches, Doobies and Greens trucks were both from the proto run (as are my still functioning great set).

I've been struggling to set up my Bennetts since I got them a few weeks ago.
Crap bushings; Non-standard lower bushing size; squeaky everything.....

Combined with the snow, ice & my work commitments, they've only seen a few quick test-rides (maybe 3?) around the parking lot and I've mostly kept using my Holeys. Because those just WORK.

Somehow, the Bennetts have developed bent kingpins. Front AND back.
Barely ridden. And I weigh....? <160lb wet.
The Holeys have had 2 years of sliding and are still squeak-free and straight.

Now I read on here that Bennetts have a non-standard kingpin, too! Genius!!

To quote somebody from elsewhere on the internet: "New Bennett's - I hear they'll come in "Suck" and "Extra Suck".".

Lol, its cool to see that pic of my trucks up here. I sucked it hard on the righty at Bonelli, crashed, subsequently broke the pivot. Went home and made a grade 8 bolt into a replacement pivot on the lathe. I was told that WAX sent replacement parts to the owner after me.

I'll post pics of my chargers. They are quite bent. They are not made that well, I don't like them at all. Except for the gen 1 bushings, awesome rebound.

For real, I changed the kingpin on my bears, but I cannot WAIT until the axle has a problem at 30-40 mph... I would replace them if I had the skrilla.

that kingpin snapping in my trucks leads me to wonder... what it it was at like 50?

Ive seen two stock bear kingpin snap, but thankfully both at about 10 mph, and neither of them mine .
