Default Twincam ILQ-9 6 ball bearings

Has any one ever tried these on a skateboard application? They seem to marketed to Rollerbladers, as they only come in 20 packs via their web site. But, they have both metal caged and rubber sealed 6 ball bearings. Seemed interesting to me.

I agree, but the regular steel balls are $50. for 20 bearings. So you could set up 2 boards for $25. each (plus you have 4 extras on hand), which is less than Swiss 6.

I was wondering if any one had tried them.

woah but did you see that thing about the ceramics?
BCB's come with a free lifetime renewal service program. You'll never have to buy another set of bearings as long as you skate!

    Indeed.

So I'm guessing no ones tried these. Maybe I'll buy a set and sell the other 10 to another intrepid bearing geek.

    Bump.

This thread is currently the only mention of 'ILQ' on the fish..

Was just googling a little bit
    Frequently Asked ILQ-9 Questions
Seems pretty advanced.. Whatever you think about rollerbladers, they can be pretty serious about speed.

Been keeping an eye out for anything with wheels on craigslist lately.. K2 rollerblades (and similar quality brands) pop up fairly often for as low as 10$. Older K2's have ABEC-5, and newer have ILQ-7. (kids are still ABEC-3)

Great deal since many pairs have barely been worn, and you can do this with the wheels:

I'd love to try a set of the Twin Cam pro's, I just don't want to pony up for 16 bearings. Any one want to split a set?
