they let your wheels spin?
then they are good enough for longboarding

when in doubt...81a flashbacks

Re: Independent Bearings?
i heard that they spin real fast with superglue lube
a bearing is a bearing. indys, lucky, and many others are all made in the same factory in china.

I bought a set of Indy bearings awhile back just to try something new. They also came with spacers and speed rings
I haven't noticed any speed/performance difference compared to Reds. Unlike Reds, however, these bearings have dual shields. This is the good and the bad. Maybe they'd keep your bearings cleaner (...maybe...), but it's a real pain in the ass to take off 16 shields everytime you clean your bearings. haha I only did that once
sure a bearing is a bearing.... but dual-shielded bearings are retarded!

Re: Independent Bearings?
everytime i use indy bearings, i find the bearing develop a lot of "play" in them.
Baseball = 1 ball
Basketball = 1 ball
Volleyball = 1 ball
DH = 2 balls

that's because they are cheap bearings you get what you pay for.....they are good enough unless you plan on racing slalom or have a gear whole fetish

yes, but contrasting them to reds, which are also dirt cheap and dont develop any play, im gonna stick with reds.

Actually the 2 sets of Indy's I have were about half the cost of Reds, not to mention I race Slalom on Reds...

Re: Independent Bearings?
They're ok. They roll pretty well but their sheilds are seriously prone to denting.

up here the difference in like 5 bucks (indies being cheaper)
the nice thing about the indy bearings is that you can reuse the hardware!

Re: Independent Bearings?
Indy's were $8 last time I bought them (pirces may have changed) the last few sets of Reds I've bought were $15...I have a lot of MHS bearing right now so I woun't be buying any bearings for a while (I have about 15 sets of clean bearings total in my tool/parts box)

Re: Independent Bearings?
Man this thread just made me regret buying my Independent bearings today at the skate shop today. LOL. I normally run MHS but couldn't wait for shipping on my new short board. Kinda wish I did now.
They were listed for $20 bucks but the manager gave me $5 bucks off.
We'll see how they do over time.
