Strikers and Powerballs...

I'll make it short. There are currently 3 sizes 66mm, 72mm and 77mm. Now the question: Why those sizes? 70mm are the norm and imo they are the most useful size (they are decent size but wont bite on most topmounts). I think it would be a godsend if abec 11 made 70mm strikers. Anyone agree?

Not really, 2mm isn't that big of a difference. Especially since that shape is narrower than most 70mm wheels cutting down on wheelbite

either wear em till they are 70 or get 66 both are farely easy to do. also its different which leads you to ask the question why?

2mm more to shave off from sliding is pretty sweet IMO.

There is also the fact that the powerballs only come in one duro. 81a powerballs would be rad.

with the regular abec 11 thane I like softer,
if you want a harder powerball just get freerides

I dont really like the retro thane. It rides harder but grips more... I like strikers/powerballs because they ride smooth and drift smooth. Retro thane was made for slalom not drifting hairpins.

And, blah blah retro thane was made for grip blah...do you really think you know more than Chris Chaput? Strangely enough all my Freerides slide and drift great. who would have though...

Powerballs technically come in 3 more duros aside from the pink 78a . Retro Freerides are the same wheel. You can get them in 80a, 83a and 86a. So your dream of 81a Powerballs is actually a reality for the most part. And yes, higher duro "Powerballs" are indeed rad.

Not really the retro thane IMO is inferior to the standard abec11 thane unless you ride slalom. They have a harsher ride, harsher slide, and chunk easier.

No I am not claiming to know more than Chris! Dude is a freaking genius! I just like the standard thane MUCH more.

Well I can certainly understand a preference to the original thane. It is different than the reflex.

i find the retro thane to drift just fine and actually like the drifts on my bigzigs more then my strikers

maybe you could give chris a call and request a set in the duro, thane, and size and see how much that will run you and let us know.
