Does this mean that my Grippins can be rotated? I swear the left and right side of the wheels don't look alike. (not a perfect mirror image)
When you put a wheel with the graphic side facing inwards, thats "flipping" the wheel. (There is a part of me that says that flipping isnt the right word though....)
As for rotating, i cannot say for sure, i ride a bi directional board, and all the wheels wear fairly evenly. But after a few slide sessions i take them all off and measure them (it makes me feel badass knowing that i have coned my wheels ) then position them so that the bigger ones wear down faster.
If they're center set then they should be the same, but you might just have worn them down that way. You take each wheel, rotate them 180 degrees, then put them on the part of the board they were on before.

Well when you rotate a cars tires you move the tires around so they wear differently.
You can rotate ANY wheel in this fashion. I had a race, and needed to take 4 runs. I only had ONE set of wheels. But I wore the front left wheel on each run. So I rotate the wheels between runs.
A center set wheel means the hub is in the center of the wheel. Technically this allows you to flip the wheel so the "outside" (printed side) of the wheel faces in. BUT not all center cut wheels are symmetric. I can't find Chaput's cutaway of the grippins. But they look symmetric, so you should be able to flip a grippin.
When you put a wheel with the graphic side facing inwards, thats "flipping" the wheel. (There is a part of me that says that flipping isnt the right word though....)
'flipping' does have a funny taste to it, eh? Maybe reverse? Like on cars or dropped trucks you'll see 'em put reverse wheels on it giving it a wider stance with the tires hanging outside of the wheel wells.

Yes, if you're sliding both directions it'll wear more evenly.
The easiest way to "rotate" wheels is swapping your front and back hangar. This changes them in an X and it's the same thing you do with cars (as I've come to know it anyway, switching front and back is important for even wear, too)
Its not putting on reverse wheels its just puting on wider tires on a car..
Rotating wheels on a skateboard should be switching the wheels from one side of the board to the other so they wear evenly. same like a car..
Yes and no mon frer.
In my hot rodding days, I had to have at least 60's but on a couple, had 50's and yeah, that hangs your meat in the wind. (just the rear in for grip... ok, it looks tough too)
A reversed wheel simply means the center of the wheel is cut out and re-installed from the other side of the wheel. All wheels have a short side and a deep side and on a standard wheel the deep side is the side that goes over the drums or calipers. When the rim is reversed on the center the long side now faces out. That gives it a deeper look and puts the wheel and tire out a little closer to the fender. Its an old customizing trick.
Check out these reverse 40's
