Hello everyone. I need new wheels cos the ones ive got at the moment (sector 9 nineballs) arent great. Ive been looking at the 83a Bigzigs and the Orangatang in heats and durians. I want some pretty slidy wheels that would be good. cheers
Let me tell you I took out three different boards today with three different wheel setups and all wheels are brand new. One of them otang stimulus, retro orange freerides (had to try them again before they went in the trash) and s9 70 mm race formulas. Believe this race formulas kick there buts sideways slide is really smooth like there not even there. I can't stop saying it but these are the ones and they cost way less than the other two and last twice as long as the others.
I have the Otang Stimulus and they slide great, I like them alot. The Zigs are more for grip. I would also consider the Retro Freerides-lime or lemon, or the Sector 9 76mm Race Formulas-rounded lip, 80a.

awesome to hear that those wheels are good! i've been considering them and was a lil bit iffy. but to add to the thread, the inheats work great once broken in and wear off those edged lips. My friend's durians seem to slide way easier due to the pre-rounded lips of the wheel. I'd def go with them or the s9's

Bottom line: don't be a hater just because you can't do a grind on vert on your DH board

I've got S9 RF 74mm 80a (square lipped) and their slide is very predictable! They have somewhat minimal chatter, but then again, I run them on roads that aren't very smooth. On sidewalks, they have virtually no chatter. Plus, they last a long time! Very durable.
If you want lots of slide, I'd go with the round lipped.
