CLP for bearings

My father has some gun cleaning stuff that I would assume would work well for bearings. I was thinking about using CLP for cleaning them, rinsing them with alcohol, then lubing them with something appropriate. Would this work well?

What i have just read about CLP it looks like it would clean and lube the bearings and protect them from rust. So cleaning with CLP would be good thing to do and then rinsing with alcohol would be a good thing to do.
