Speedy Lunatics are the way to go, around $8 a set and are abec 7, but if your bearings spin freely then you dont really need to replace them.

if you are using a s9 you must be using greaseballs? swap them before they decide to randomly seize during a great session and kill you. get reds

Abec rating doesn't matter. You want to buy bearings that are made of some sort of quality material, IE: Mini Logo's, Bones Reds, blah blah blah.

I agree, they are fast, but they have the same characteristics as the greaseballs, shitty quality materials, and seize up after little use.

You sir, are a gentleman and a scholar.

He is right in every regard.

    1. Bones Reds
    2. Biltins
    3. Mini Logo
    4. MHS

Those are my cheap but awesome suggestions.

Greaseballs are the generic Chinese bearings people buy in bulk and what you find on eBay. They have metal cages so beware if your lube runs dry. Besides what has been mentioned I have to kick in Pleasure Tool for "Best Bang for the Buck" contender.

Get some Biltins. They are the best I have ever used. That and having the washers and spacers and bearing all in one unit is just cool. If you can't swing the cheddah for those then get the Reds.

agreed with the folks who mentioned reds. one of the shops over here actually closed down and had a blowout sale for the last few weeks of business. all skate equipment for half off. reds for only 7$ ftw!

has anyone tried the super reds by any chance?

ABEC ratings are meaningless when it comes to skateboards.

Inexpensive, quality bearings can be had for less than $10/set. I'd tell you to buy my bearings, but I won't go there.

    i will
    buy his bearings

    or something cheap and similar

whoever said speedy lunatics sieze up after a little use is a total retard, i still ride mine, have for over a year now, and have taken them near 60 on a 4.4mi DH run over and over again (this makes things VERY hot). they are still fast and great, just keep the triflow running through them and they will be fine.

i really dont think bearings matter unless you go ceramic to kill the chance of rusting, but even then if you clean and care for your #### then you will have no issues on $7 bearings.

buy MHM's bearings. they're just as good (if not better) than reds and are almost half the price.

I've had them on my Sector Waimea in Never Summer 72's for a few weeks and they seem to roll a bit longer than the regular Reds I had in it before. For the price they're great but for a few dollars more you can get Biltins which I have on my Barfoot in EW Superballs and they just roll forever.
