    Default Lube Bearings

I'm looking for something I could go buy at my local hardware store to lube my bearings. I've been using 3 in one oil and it seems to be slowing down the bearings when i spin them. any suggestions? I dont really want to wait to order something online and there arent any skateshops near where I live.

3 in 1 should be fine, the reason it seems to slow down is because bearings are designed to work better when they are weighted. So when you are actuary riding you wont notice. The the purpose of the lube is not just to make it spin faster but it also protects the bearing from wearing as fast, due to heat caused by friction.

Bearing lube costs like less than 5 dollars...

just order some legit lube off the internets.

That's what I use. My uncle has bearings in his roller skates that date back to the 70's and they are still in top notch condition. Brake parts cleaner to clean them, Teflon oil to lube them.

I drip one drop per ball. I also remove one shield and throw it away.

You can use the grease used for cars. I put some in my crappy open-shield abec 5 grease balls and it's fine.

Fresh motor oil in the smallest amount works perfectly.
