Default Newbie looking for some wheel advise

Hello there. I just got my first long board, a Gravity 45" Spoon Nose, a few weeks ago and I've been tooling around on it a bit when I can. I mainly wanted the board just for cruising around town and bombing the occasional hill, nothing crazy. The one thing I'm having some troubles with is sliding. I'm not looking to pull some Coleman's or anything, just some little power slides or something. My board came with some 70mm 80a Gravity Drifter's and I gotta say, they really kick ass for cruising over some rough terrain but I'm having some troubles getting them to slide. I've read through the wealth of information here on the forums and realize that I definitely need a harder wheel but I'm wondering how hard I should go. I like the smooth feel of the 80's and I don't want to completely lose that but I'd like to have a little slidability, ya know? Can anyone recommend some decent wheels that might be a good compromise?

Thanks very much for the input.
    -Chris

Your Drifters are perfect! and you already have them!

A round lipped wheel in the 78a-84a duro is what I look for. Urethane formulas do matter.

throw a couple slides on the drifters, they'll break in and start sliding real nice and smooth. if you really feel the need for a different wheel 76mm 80a sector 9 race forms or the 81mm 82a if you can fit wheels that big.

Ha! Damn. I guess if they're perfect then it must be the riders fault they won't slide, huh?

make sure you have some slide gloves, they help when you loose your balance so you dont scrape up your hands.

and alwayse wear a helmet wherever you go!!!!!!

You got super slidey wheels already, so no excuses...You have to go practice, that's all.
